Specifies rules for control units, that perform the switching functions in response to thermal detectors in incorporated in rotating electrical machines. Applies to systems comprising a positive temperature coefficient (PTC) thermistor detector having particular characteristics, and its associated control unit. Identical with and reproduced from Edition 1.0 (2003-05) of IEC 60947-8.
