Specifies requirements and tests for contactors, whose main contacts are intended to be connected to circuits, the rated voltage of which does not exceed 1000¿¿V¿¿a.c. or 1500¿¿V¿¿d.c. Applies to contactors associated with overload or short-circuit protective devices, starters associated with short-circuit and integrated overload protective devices and contactors and starters with their own short-circuit protective devices. Is identical with and reproduced from consolidated Edition 2.1(2002-2) of IEC¿¿60947-4-1.
